I was initially drawn to Arabic pop when I started belly dance,

dipping into the classics of belly dance music every once in a while.

Later, unable to deny my natural proclivity for syncopated rhythms

any longer, modern Turkish and Greek music, pop and rock and

even rap came to the fore.

Since discovering Tribal Fusion those playlists have become

far more varied.

All the same, rock music is my absolute favourite, and lends itself to shimmy drills in particular. Try it; you may love it as much as I do!
